Fancy Fretwork

Three more pictures from yesterday in Farmleigh. The first one is the gate to the walled garden.
The second silhouette shot is above the same gate, shot looking into the sun. It was getting quite cloudy by then, the best of the day was definitely over, although it wasn't as dark as it looks in the picture.
At least that meant that although it would have been lovely to have had the time to sit a while and admire the sight and fragrance of this witch hazel, it wasn't actually such a hardship that I had to get back home.

Slightly dark, but I liked the shape of the duck and the ripples in the water: In a whorl of her own...

Wouldn't that gate make an interesting stamp? I love all the swirls. I like how you captured the swirls around the little duck.

You always seem to find the most interesting details, like that fretwork. You've really captured its beauty and I agree with MariLynn, it would make a great stamp. I love it- in a whorl of her own - you crack me up.
